Travel to Northern Ireland by rail from Dublin to Belfast. The highlight of this tour is Giants Causeway. Upon arrival in Belfast, you will be driven by coach through the green glens of Antrim, along the magnificent coast, where you can see Scotland on a clear day. The Giants Causeway is a spectacular sight and is the result of volcanic eruption 60 million years ago. Six miles from the Causeway is the Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge, Ballintoy, Co Antrim. This bridge links the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede and it spans 20 meters and is 30 meters high. Travel Insurance is always advisable regardless if you cross the bridge or not. Important travel tips for Americans to Ireland, don’t forget that Northern Ireland is part of the UK, so make sure you bring some British Pounds.

Places to travel in Ireland – A must on your list is the Cliffs of Moher. Train departs from Heuston Station for Limerick City – home to Frank McCourt, author of Angelas’s Ashes. From Limerick, you will be driven by coach to Bunratty Folk Village and from there to Doolin, the home of traditional Irish music and the majestic Cliffs of Moher, soaring hundreds of feet above the pounding Atlantic. This area is also known as the Burren, a unique area of limestone, wild life, and fauna. Just an hour north of County Clare is Galway City, the university medieval city, which will no doubt be mentioned in the everything travel guide to Ireland. The drive from the Cliffs of Moher to Galway city is regarded by the AA Automobile Association as one of the top 10 coastal drives in Europe. From Galway, you will board the train back to Dublin.

Day 1 Visit all the "must sees" in Ireland. The train travels the scenic route from Dublin to Cork. We board a bus to Blarney Castle and kiss the famous stone. After time for lunch and shopping, and a flavor of Cork City we visit Cobh Heritage Centre home of the "Queenstown Story", We depart Cork by train to Killarney where we are transferred to our comfortable Bed & Breakfast accommodation with private bath facilities. We are based here for two nights. Day 2 We embark on the famous Ring of Kerry tour which is a largely coastal drive around the Iveragh Peninsula - lots of stunning mountain and coastal scenery, including the famous Lakes of Killarney. Day 3 Drive from Killarney to Limerick visit Bunratty Castle, the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, and even a traditional pub at Doolin, along Galway Bay. We return by train from Galway.
