Day 1 Arrival in Dublin Airport, where you meet your Lynott driver/guide for a 10AM departure for Galway. Enjoy the relaxed pace of Ireland, known for its bogs and turf fires, rich farmlands and scenic countryside. On arrival in Galway, enjoy a guided walking tour of the city with expert local guide. Stay in Galway for 2 nights.
Day 2 Full day excursion Connemara. Visit one of the region’s most famous attractions: Kylemore Abbey, home to a Benedictine order of Nuns for the past 100 years. Make sure to visit Ireland’s largest walled gardens at Kylemore. Embark on a 1.5 hour cruise on the Connemara Lady along the Killary Fjord, Ireland’s natural border between county Galway and county Mayo. Enjoy an Irish coffee on board. Spend tonight in Galway. (B)
Day 3 Make your way to Ireland’s most iconic natural beauty: the Cliffs of Moher and unique Burren region. Stop in Doolin (a great spot for some food), and then visit the Cliffs of Moher. Stretching along the Atlantic coast, the highest point at O’Brien Tower is 214 meters above sea level. On a clear day, you can see the Aran islands etched on the waters of Galway Bay. Visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, the most complete and authentic mediaeval castle in Ireland. Bunratty Folk Park is a living reconstruction of the homes and environment of Ireland of over a century ago. Stay in Adare in a traditional Irish country hotel.
(B)Day 4 Travel to Killarney, with ample time to explore the famous Dingle Peninsula. Described as “the most beautiful place on earth” by National Geographic magazine, much of the peninsula is a Gaeltacht – an area where the Irish continues to be the daily language of the people. Enjoy spectacular sea views, and the rich archaeological heritage, including ancient beehive huts and Gallarus Oratory. Stop in Dingle town, before continuing out to Slea Head, the most westerly part of Ireland. At Dunquin, visit the Blasket Centre and learn about the traditional island life and literary legacy of the unique community who lived on the remote Blasket Islands. Travel to Killarney, with its quaint laneways and traditional shopfronts. (B)
Day 5 Explore Killarney National Park, a magical and magnificent wilderness and take a traditional horse drawn jaunting car. Time free to relax or explore quaint Killarney town. This evening, enjoy some traditional music in a local pub. (B,D)
Day 6 We are off to Blarney, known not only for its castle, beautiful gardens, including a fairy garden, but some of the best shopping in Ireland. Travel through landscapes of the rarest green, where herds of black and white cows peek from every hill. We’re heading to Co. Kildare, where we enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea at Newbridge. Enjoy classic afternoon tea with homemade sandwiches, cakes, and scones presented on a vintage tea service before settling in to our castle accommodations at Barberstown Castle this evening.
(B) Day 7 Dublin’s capital city is ours to explore on a walking foodie tour of the Liberties You’ll join a local, authentic experience with 5 stops with a local. The rest of the day is free until dinner, when we have a rousing party at the Merry Ploughboy Pub, a perfect last night in the Emerald Isle.Songs are sung and everyone is made to feel welcome. Irelannd comes alive tonight! (B,D)Day 8 DUBLIN TO EDINBURGH Depart for Dublin Airport with fond memories of the friends you’ve met and a lifetime of stories to relate. Take a panoramic sightseeing tour of Edinburgh. Tour highlights include a visit to Edinburgh Castle, and views of St. Giles’ Cathedral, Burns Monument, National Gallery, and the Palace of Holyrood House. Enjoy a traditional Scottish Music Show, with dinner (D)

Day 9 – ST ANDREWS EXCURSION Day trip to the university town of St. Andrews, known not only as the home of golf, but where William and Kate met. The medieval center consists of a series of narrow alleys and cobbled streets a castle, and the now-ruined cathedral. Return to Edinburgh for overnight. Optional ghost tour this evening. (B)
Day 11 – CULLODEN OUTLANDER EXCURSION Learn the true story which inspired Outlander at Culloden Battlefield and attempt your own journey through the mysterious burial chambers and standing stones at Clava Cairns. Stay in Inverness. (B)
Day 12 - ISLE OF SKYE Drive alongside Loch Ness, and enjoy monster hunting, stopping at the ruins of Urquhart Castle. Later, we stop to photograph the famous Eilean Donan Castle, used in the film "Highlander" and a James Bond movie. We head to Skye, and up to Portree, where pastel houses line the harbor. We stay on the Isle of Skye tonight, admiring breath taking views over the sea loch to the mountains beyond. (B)
ay 13Thursday – ISLE OF SKYE We explore Skye today. The ancient mountains, unique rock formations and dramatic coastline lead to fortresses which were home to legendary clans. We are immersed in Celtic myths & legends. We stay on the Isle of Skye again tonight. (B)
Day 14 – HARRY POTTER TRAIN/CASTLE STAY This morning, we see the 21-arched Glenfinnan viaduct (a location made famous in the Harry Potter films. En route to Glasgow, enjoy the mystical mountains of Glencoe. In the 1692 battle here, 40 members of the MacDonald clan were massacred in cold blood by the Campbells for not forswearing the Jacobite cause. They say you can still hear their cries. You will be transported back in time tonight as we stay at Crossbasket Castle. Farewell dinner. (B,D)
